With the special model Futura FLI Intercity Edition, VDL Bus & Coach meets the demands of a growing group of tour operators who no longer want to have to decide prior to purchase exactly how a bus will be used. After all, in economically difficult times a company must be certain that investments in its fleet are cost-effective. “The Futura FLI Intercity Edition represents a new, multifunctional type of bus that will offer bus operators the greatest possible flexibility of use”, says Rémi Henkemans, managing director of VDL Bus & Coach. The market is in a state of flux, and VDL Bus & Coach has thoroughly analyzed the current demands. “This new Futura variant wasn’t conceived in a back office. It is the result of having listened carefully to suggestions from our customers and working towards an economic compromise.”
Lucrative purchase price - high efficiency
In terms of equipment, the Futura FLI Intercity Edition takes the golden middle road, emphasizing its function as an all-rounder. The standard equipment is definitely comfortable: with air conditioning, easy-to-clean seats and the considerable baggage area (7-9 m3), it satisfies every wish. Thanks to the efficient package of standard equipment it can be offered at an attractive entry-level purchase price. Moreover, the maintenance costs are considerably lower than for other coaches. The Futura also has a low net weight and a proven DAF driveline, resulting in exceptionally low fuel consumption.
Limited edition model
VDL Bus & Coach offers the ultra flexible and easily manoeuvrable Futura Intercity FLI with two engine options and in three lengths. The number of seats varies from 45+1 to 63+1. A range of options are also available. Furthermore, the Futura Intercity FLI will retain a high trade-in value even after years of use and clearly serves to improve the versatility of the fleet. VDL Bus & Coach is introducing this bus to the market as a limited edition model. Orders can be placed starting today.
