Stuttgart – Nová generace Mercedes-Benz Travego se představuje ve světové premiéře: Do autobusu bude poprvé nasazen mnohokráte oceněný Active Brake Assist . Bezpečnostní systém, který je známý jako nouzový brzdový asistent, provede v případě akutního nebezpečí nárazu do pomaleji jedoucího vozidla, poté co řidič sám nezareaguje na vydaná odstupňovaná varovná upozornění, automaticky brzdný manévr maximální brzdnou silou. Active Brake Assist pracuje na principu tempomatu s regulací odstupu vozidel ART . Z pondělní zprávy Evropské agentury pro životní prostředí vyplývá, že silniční doprava je stále největším ekologickým znečišťovatelem ovzduší v Evropské unii. Agentura hodnotila situaci za léta 1990–2006, kdy nejvyšší podíl představovaly emise z osobních a nákladních automobilů či emise PM10 a PM2,5, které způsobují onemocnění dýchacích cest. Statistiky zaznamenaly od roku 1990 klesající tendenci emisí, kdy emise oxidů dusíků v roce 2006 dosáhly o 35% nižší hranice a oxidu siřičitého o necelých 70%. V dubnu 2008 byla Radou EU schválena nová směrnice o kvalitě ovzduší, ve které se Komise zavázala vypracovat opatření snižující škodlivé emise spojených s tankováním automobilů na čerpacích stanicích. www.cebre.cz

Federálna vláda Mexica (GDF) investuje 173 miliónov amerických dolárov na nákup dvanástich trolejbusov pre Mexico City, informovala miestna tlač.

Začiatok prevádzky nových trolejbusov je plánovaný na rok 2010 a bude pokrývať 28 staníc na10.8 kilometrovej trase ktorá spojí historické centrum mesta so štvrťou Buenavista. Trolejbusy navyše zabezpečia spojenie s predmestskými vlakmi a linkami metra číslo 1, 2, 3 a 8, ako aj s inými masovými dopravnými prostriedkami. Predpokladá sa, že systém zvládne 50 000 pasažierov denne.

www.denik.cz 30.7.1008 - Praha - Technický stav autobusů zejména linkové a MHD dopravy je často kritizován. Proto se vláda snaží nalézt prostředky na jejich dotaci. Průměrný věk všech autobusů u nás je 16,63 roku a z celkového počtu 20 576 autobusů se ročně obnovuje pouhých pět procent. Sdružení automobilového průmyslu je názoru, že ročně by se u nás měl park obnovovat dvakrát více tj. o 10 %. Podle slov Pavla Ešnera ze Sdružení jich z celkového počtu činí devadesát procent právě autobusy MHD a linkové dopravy. Proto stát podporuje především tento typ autobusů. Tento deň, okrem závodu v Holandsku oslavuje aj závod v Nemecku, a to 10 výročie svojho založenia. S obratom 61 million Euro v roku 2007, a takmer 1 000 predanými vozidlami, sa VDL CBC môže právom nazývať špecialistom na nákup a predaj ojazdených autobusov. Odtiaľ pocháda aj ich motto: "Všetky značky, všetky typy, jeden partner". História Pred desiatimi rokmi BOVA dostala šancu na trhu ojazdených autobusov a rozhodla sa oddeliť nákup a predaj ojazdených autobusov od predaja nových. Spoločnosť, ktorá bola založená s týmto účelom - Kleyn-BOVA, bola založená v roku 1998 podnikom so spoločnou majetkovou účasťou v Autobusfabriek BOVA a Kleyn Trucks. Kleyn Trucks sa špecializuje na národný a medzinárodný obchod s ojazdenými vozidlami. Výsledkom spoločnej majetkovej účasti bola Kleyn-BOVA nielen schopná využívať medzinárodné know-how Kleyn Trucks, ale tiež mohla autobusovým spoločnostiam ponúknuť neporovnateľne širšiu škálu ponúkaných ojazdených vozidiel. 28.7.2008 - čtk - Praha - Zhruba každý desátý řidič autobusu porušil na konci minulého týdne dobu odpočinku, nevybral si povinnou přestávku, jel s přetíženým autobusem nebo s autobusem ve špatném technickém stavu. Odhalila to policie při dopravněbezpečnostní akci, která se konala v pátek a v neděli. Novinářům to dnes řekl specialista na nákladní a autobusovou dopravu Pavel Nosek. Policie se společně s celní správou a mobilními jednotkami Centra služeb pro silniční dopravu zaměřila právě na dodržování předpisů mezi profesionálními řidiči autobusů. Zkontrolovali jich celkem 161 a u 22 z nich zjistili nějaké provinění. Policisté kontrolovali autobusy na sedmi stanovištích především na jižní Moravě, v západních Čechách a na Rozvadově. Zaměřili se také kamionovou dopravu, protože v době konání akce platilo její omezení. Podle Noska omezení nerespektovalo několik zejména zahraničních řidičů. V období letních prázdnin se zvyšuje počet turistických autobusů. "Cestovní kanceláře nám bohužel nabírají jakýkoliv autobus tak, aby byly schopny uspokojit požadavky trhu," vysvětlil Nosek. Podobně rozsáhlou akci zaměřenou na autobusy chce policie zopakovat do konce prázdnin ještě jednou.
