Eberswalde/Bolechowo, 5.1.2010 - Solaris Bus & Coach dodá 12 vozů Solaris Trollino německému dopravci Barnimer Busgesellschaft of Eberswalde (BBG). Nové trolejbusy obnoví vozový park nejstaršího německého trolejbusového provozu. Bude to první dodávka trolejbusů Solaris do Německa.
Eberswalde, ležící 50 km severně od Berlína, je jedním ze tří trolejbusových německých měst.
Nové trolejbusy Solaris Trollino 18 pro BBG jsou osmnáctimetrové kloubové nízkopodlažní plně klimatizované trolejbusy se 42 sedadly a 4 sklopnými sedadly. Čtvery dveře usnadňují rychlou výměnu cestujících. Druhé a třetí dveře jsou uzpůsobeny pro kočárky a invalidní vozíky.
Elektrovýzbroj dodá český výrobce Cegelec: elektromotor 240 kW, pro rekuperaci superkapacitory. Pro úseky bez vedení budou vozy vybaveny 100 kW dieselagregátem EURO 5. Spolu s superkapacitory umožňuje agregát dojezd trolejbusu bez napájení až 5 kilometrů.

Innovative bus builder Solaris Bus & Coach has been chosen to supply a new fleet of trolleybuses to Barnimer Busgesellschaft mbH (BBG) of Eberswalde. The city, located just 50 km north Berlin, is home to one of only three trolleybus systems in Germany. The new Solaris Trollino demonstrate Eberswalde’s continued commitment to climate protection. Extremely quiet and emission-free at the point of operation, these trolleybuses will provide sustainable electric mobility.
The new Solaris Trollino 18 for BBG are 18-metre articulated low-floor trolleybuses. Their passengers enjoy a fully air-conditioned interior. 42 fixed seats and four tip-up seats are provided, while four sets of doors help to keep stop dwell times short. Ample space for buggies and wheelchair users is provided at the second and third doors.
Czech manufacturer Cegelec will supply the traction equipment for BBG’s new Solaris trolleybuses. The electric motor is rated at 240 kW. The state-of-the-art technology of these new vehicles includes supercapacitors which will store energy regenerated during braking. This will be used in subsequent acceleration, reducing energy consumption.
In order to ensure freedom of operation around the depot as well as in case of route diversions, Eberswalde’s Solaris Trollino will be equipped with 100 kW diesel auxiliary power units meeting the demanding Euro 5 emissions standard. Working in conjunction with the supercapacitors, they will enable the trolleybuses to operate independent of an overhead power supply for up to five kilometres.

The BBG-operated trolleybus network in Eberswalde is the oldest of its kind in Germany, celebrating its 70th anniversary in November 2010. The first of the new Solaris Trollino will enter service in time for the celebrations, with the rest of the batch to follow by the end of 2012.
Since its launch in 2001, more than 350 Solaris Trollino have been built, making it one of Europe’s most successful trolleybuses. The new Solaris Trollino for BBG of Eberswalde will be the first of their kind in Germany. Similar vehicles already are in operation in a dozen European countries from Estonia to Portugal.

Trolejbusová síť BBG v Eberswalde oslaví 70. výročí v listopadu 2010. První Trollino bude uvedeno do provozu v době oslav, ostatní budou následovat až do konce roku 2012.
