Jaká je budoucnost pro autobusy poháněné vodíkem ?

Není pochyb o tom. že budoucnost v oblasti dopravních pohonů bude odlišná od toho, co nyní známe. Bude-li součástí nových řešení i vodík, musí se realizovat:

• Infrastruktura plnicích stanic
• Produkce vodíku z obnovitelných zdrojů, která technologii učiní opravdu "čistou"
• Další komercionalizace využití vodíkových autobusů, která povede ke zlevnění nákladů.
• Vše v kontextu kvality, bezpečnosti a vzdělávání.
• Přesvědčení komunit na všech úrovních (občanů, průmyslu, politiků)

Dobrou zprávou je, že se mnohé stává realitou. Bude testován prototyp CITARO FuelCELL-Hybrid , jsou plánovány malé flotily těchto vozidel, která budou provozována v různých evropských městech. Projekt by měl ukázat, že vodík lze využít v dopravě - čistě a bezpečně.

Konference o využití vodíku v dopravě - jaké jsou její důvody ?

‘Hydrogen Transports’ Conference, která se uskuteční v Hamburku 17 a 18.11.2009, by měla uzavřít vysoce úspěšný čtyřletý program projektu HyFLEET:CUTE project. Poskytne podrobné pohledy a odpovědi na naléhavé a praktické otázky na téma využití vodíku v dopravě .

V letošním roce v listopadu proběhne v rámci závěrečné konference projektu HyFLEET:CUTE exhibice největší autobusové flotily s vodíkovým pohonem v Hamburku.

Představí se autobusy Daimler / EvoBus na vodíkové palivové články a autobusy MAN se spalovacím motorem na vodík. Proběhnou i prohlídky plnicí stanice a bude mnoho příležitostí k diskusi o detailech projektu HyFLEET:CUTE s partnery projektu, zainteresovanými a experty. Bude demonstrována také nová generace autobusu na vodíkové palivové články.

HyFLEET:CUTE sleduje provoz 47 autobusů s vodíkovým pohonem ve veřejné dopravě v 10 městech na třech kontinentech. Projekt je partnerstvím 31 partnerů z průmyslu, státní správy, akademických a konzultačních organizací. Ve spolupráci vyvíjejí dopravní systém na vodíkové bázi pro budoucnost.

What is the Future for Hydrogen Powered Buses?

There is no doubt that the future for transport fuelsis likely to be fundamentally different from what we know now. Global concerns about the environment, human health, climate and the availability of fossil fuels is driving change. If Hydrogen is to be part of the solution to this challenge there are things that need to happen. These include:

• The refuelling infrastructure currently seems to be the element in the hydrogen transport system which requires the greatest level of performance improvement.
• There is also a need for modular system design of refuelling infrastructure that enables it to be simply scaled up.
• The production of Hydrogen from renewable sources is an essential step in making the technology truly ‘clean’.
• Hydrogen powered Buses need further development to bring them to commercialisation. While performance of the technology has made huge gains, the costs of the buses will need to be significantly reduced.
• All of the above must take place in a context where quality, safety and training are a continuous focus and are used consistently as tools for improvement.
• ‘Buy in’ of the community at all levels (citizens, industry, politicians) must also be an integral part of any implementation/commercialisation strategy.

The good news is that the next steps are already being taken in the journey to market reality. The prototype CITARO FuelCELL-Hybrid will be tested and progressively enhanced in order to improve the overall system. The development of a small fleet of these buses is planned. It is intended that they will operate in various cities in Europe and a consortium has been formed to progress this concept through the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Joint Technology Initiative. Our project has shown unequivocally that hydrogen does transport – cleanly and safely!
