UITP kongres a výstava proběhly minule v Helsinkách. Vídeň je neopakovatelnou příležitostí k účasti z České republiky. Pokud některý další ročník neproběhne přímo v České republice, už to těžko budeme mít v budoucnu blíže.

Specielně letošní výstavní část je větší než se čekalo: 290 vystavovatelů na 25000 m2. Důraz je kladen na nejnovější výrobky ze 40 zemí celého světa. Budou představena kolejová vozidla včetně světové premiéry nového motorového železničního vagónu. Představí se hybridní technologie jak městských busů i lokomotiv, informační systémy cestujících v reálném čase, praktická know-how dopravců.
