The Magiq MHD 148-460 Magnum z VDL BOVA Se poprvé objevil na MIT 2006 v Paříži. Tato 14.86 dlouhá varianta nabízí možnost maxima sedadel 71+1+1 v modelu pro Francii nebo 61+1+1 v tříhvězdičkové německé variantě.

Nový Magiq MHD 148 Magnum je o 90 cm delší než jeho sourozenec Magiq MHD 139-460 Magnum. Nárůst délky je pouze v rozvoru. Při zachování zadního i předního přesahu jako u verze 13.9 m je nárůst zavazadlového prostoru minimálně 2.2 m3.

Rozdílná aranžmá pro sedadla jsou v souladu se statutárními dimenzemi v Direktivě 2001/85. Tento typ je obvykle vybaven prostředními dveřmi a toaletou, ale typ MHD 148 může nyní být vybaven i zadním vchodem (viz foto).

Autobusy Magiq Magnum jsou osazeny motorem 460 HP DAF MX Euro 4 s max. 2300 Nm a standardní šestistupňovou převodovkou GO-230, volitelně s ZF AS Tronic automatem.

VDL Bus & Coach product range expanded with a 15 metre variant of the Magiq

The Magiq MHD 148-460 Magnum from VDL BOVA made its first appearance during the MIT 2006 in Paris which took place from 18 to 21 October 2006. The arrival of this 14.86 metre variant offers the possibility of creating a maximum seating capacity of 71+1+1 places in the French model or 61+1+1 in a 3 star German model.

New Magiq MHD 148 Magnum

The new Magiq MHD 148 Magnum is 90 cm longer than its sibling, the Magiq MHD 139- 460 Magnum. This increase in length is entirely in the wheelbase. By keeping the front and rear overhang the same as the 13.9 metre version, the baggage area has been increased by no less than 2.2 m3. An extra baggage flap has been placed on the left and right sides to make it easier for the driver to use.

Directive 2001/85

The various seating arrangements are in accordance with the statutory dimensions in Directive 2001/85. This type is usually supplied with a middle door and toilet but the MHD 148 can now, like the other Magiq models, be supplied with a rear entrance (see the accompanying photograph).

Engine

The Magiq Magnums are fitted with the 460 HP DAF MX Euro 4 engine with a maximum torque of 2300 Nm. The Magnums are fitted as standard with the six-speed gearbox GO- 230 and optionally with a ZF AS Tronic automatic gearbox.

Longer than 12 metres

The sales of buses longer than 12 metres increased enormously once European Directive 96/53 version 2002/7 relating to vehicle dimensions became effective in the spring of 2003. More than 70% of the production volume of VDL BOVA is now directed at this group of vehicles. Of the two-axle Futuras with a length of 12.7 metres there have now been almost 1500 built and of the three-axle Futuras and Magiqs there have been almost 700.
